The Four Villas of Castle Ward
A street called the Cliffride runs to four luxurious villas that stand amid trees and terraced gardens in a little ledge walled in by Mount Waterdeep.
These grand stone houses were built long ago by various noble families in this exclusive and readily defensible enclave. They soon fell out of favor. Lashed by the full fury of the sea storms, they are damp all year round and a nightmare of slick ice everywhere outside and deathly chill inside during winter. They can be rented from their owners for 25 sp/month and up (50 sp/month during the summer), and are residences large enough to house up to 40 people each. As one proceeds south, they are: Fair Winds, on the sea side of the road; Marblehearth, on the land side; Stormwatch, on the sea side; and, tucked into the end of the land, overhung by a frowning cliff, Heroes' Rest.
Marblehearth
Marblehearth, also known as Silvane's Festhall, was a rentable villa located in Castle Ward, Waterdeep. It is now a popular festhall and gambling house. The mysterious southern owner, Setara bint Aasim, is rumored to have two genies as her servants.
Stormwatch
Stormwatch was a rentable villa located in Castle Ward, Waterdeep. It's structures and grounds have been merged with that of Heroes' Rest nearby to form the bardic college of New Olamn
Heroes' Rest
Heroes' Rest was a rentable villa located in Castle Ward, Waterdeep. Heroes' Rest was nicknamed Cold Comfort by the Company of Crazed Venturers, who spent a winter here. The name has stuck in the city, and few now remember the proper name. The structures and grounds of this former noble manor have now been merged with that of Stormwatch to create the bardic college of New Olamn.
